bullet Holycross is in "mid-southern Ireland". It is approximately 2 hours drive south from Dublin and 2 hrs north from Rosslare.

bullet by air the easiest routes are from Dublin or Cork and to hire a car from the airport. Many airline companies offer preferential rates for fly-drive tickets and ticket prices can be very low if booking early.

bullet alternatively, the rail journey takes approximately two hours. Regular buses run from the airport to Huston train station (Dublin city centre) for the train to Thurles.
bullet Taxis are available from Thurles rail station and cost approx £4.00 to Holycross. The station is a minutes walk from the town centre.
bullet by ferry the ports with most frequent services are Dublin or Rosslare. In addition, peak season sailings are available to Cork harbour.
bullet Cycling in Ireland is very popular and if you wish to hire cycles and travel by bike in Ireland this can be arranged from Thurles town centre. We can make arrangements for you in advance by informing us when booking.
